General information about LETA keyboard
Date of concept:
March 25, 2001
How LETA keyboard was conceived:
The applications I primarily use, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Dreamweaver,
require a lot of work with the mouse, but also require a lot of text entry.
I simply got fed-up with the inefficiency of moving back-and-forth between
the mouse and the keyboard.
I like using keyboard shortcuts ("Accelerators")
Do you think the LETA keyboard will eliminate the QWERTY keyboard:
Obviously not. If you would like to know why, please check out some of
the articles on the links page.
The common view is that even if someone were to come up with a miraculous
invention that made typing faster, easier, was cheaper and made people
have a wonderful life, the QWERTY keyboard is so entrenched as a standard,
the QWERTY would still remain.
Can anyone say Windows?
The LETA keyboard is by no means a miraculous new idea. What I would like,
however, is for keyboard users to have a viable alternative if they would
like one. An affordable, efficient keyboard that will help them get more
done.
